Zoloft is a drug prescribed to treat depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder in adults. The medicine can also be used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder in children and adolescents.
How Taken
Zoloft is in the form of tablets and is taken orally once a day with or without food. Zoloft should be taken exactly as instructed; you should not take less or more of the medicine unless your doctor advised you so. The intake should continue even if you feel well. If you want to stop using Zoloft, you should consult your doctor first, especially if you have used it for a long period. The dosage should be decreased gradually. Effective results will be achieved after a few weeks of usage.
Warnings/Precautions
Consult your doctor before taking Zoloft if you suffer from the following diseases: kidney disease, seizures, mania or suicidal thoughts.
