Drug Uses
Esgic Plus is a medicine used to relieve the pain and to treat headaches.
How Taken
You should take the medicine exactly as the doctor directed; never take less or more, do not take it more often or longer than the doctor instructed you. The dosage for adults is 2 pills every four hours. If the medicine you are using contains 325 mg or 500 mg of acetaminophen in each pill, do not take more than six pills a day.
Warnings/Precautions
If Esgic Plus becomes less effective than it was when you have started using it, this may mean you may become dependent of the drug. You should not take more pills than prescribed to achieve better pain relief. You have become dependent on the medicine in case you have headaches more often than before, or your headache occurs a day after your last dosage, or you have headaches every day, or a headache continues more that several days. Continuous intake of Esgic Plus will cause even more future headaches. Consult your doctor about ways to relieve the headaches.
Missed Dose
In case you miss a dose, take the drug as soon as you remember. If it is already time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the scheduled one. Do no take a double dose of Esgic Plus.
Possible Side Effects
Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of these side effects and especially if several of them occur at the same time: bleeding or crusting sores on lips; chest pain; fever with or without chills; hive-like swellings (large) on eyelids, face, lips, and/or tongue; muscle cramps or pain; red, thickened, or scaly skin; shortness of breath, troubled breathing, tightness in chest, or wheezing; skin rash, itching, or hives; sores, ulcers, or white spots in mouth (painful); sore throat; confusion (mild); mental depression; unusual excitement (mild).
Storage
Keep Esgic Plus away from children. The medicine should be stored away from heat, moisture and direct light because they may break down the drug.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose of Esgic Plus, immediately search for medical help. An overdose or combining the medicine with alcohol or CNS depressants may cause unconsciousness and even death.
More Information
