How Taken
Diflucan is in the form of a tablet or liquid and should be taken orally once a day. Follow the instructions strictly and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. Use the medicine exactly as directed; do not take less or more of the medicine, and do not take it more often than prescribed. The liquid should be shaken before usage. Do not stop using Diflucan even if you feel well. Do not stop the usage of the medicine without a consultation with your doctor.
Warnings/Precautions
Do not use Diflucan if you are taking cisapride (Propulsid) because their combined usage may cause serious and even life-threatening heart problems. Inform your doctor in case you have some other medical conditions and especially kidney disease. You may not be able to use Diflucan or your dose may have to be adjusted, or you may have to be monitored regularly during the treatment. Missed Dose
In case you miss a dose, take the drug as soon as you remember. If it is already time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the scheduled one. Do no take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects
Contact your doctor immediately and stop taking Diflucan if you develop any of these side effects: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives); liver damage (pale stools, yellowing of the skin or eyes, abdominal pain, unusual fatigue, or dark urine); or a rash. If you have any of the following less serious side effects, continue using Diflucan but inform your doctor: nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain; diarrhea; headache; dizziness; fatigue; or itching. Storage
The tablets should be stored at a temperature below 86�F (30�C). Protect them from freezing. Diflucan injections in Viaflex Plus plastic containers are available in both sodium chloride and dextrose diluents. They should be stored between 77�F (25�C) and 41�F (5�C). A short exposure up to 104�F (40�C) will not affect the product. Do not let it freeze.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, immediately search for medical help. An overdose of Diflucan may be signaled by confusion, hallucinations, paranoia, decreased movement, decreased breathing, tearing eyes, drooling, urinary incontinence, seizures, and death.
